Be Killing Sin
Scripture: Romans 8:13
Doctrine
Mortification is daily labor.
Owen famously wrote:
“Do you mortify; do you make it your daily work; be always at it whilst you live; cease not a day from this work; be killing sin or it will be killing you.”⁵
Sin rests only when we resist it.

Where have I grown spiritually passive?
Prayer
Grant holy violence against indwelling corruption.
