The Encouragement of Conflict
Scripture: Galatians 5:17
Doctrine
Holy struggle evidences spiritual life.
Owen observes:
“The contest and conflict which is in believers is an evidence of life.”⁹
Dead men do not fight sin.
Reflection
Conflict is not proof of failure but proof of grace.
Prayer
Strengthen my resolve in the fight.
