Crucified With Christ
Scripture: Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”
Reflection
Union with Christ transforms the believer’s identity. When Christ died, our old life of bondage to sin was judged with Him. Yet the Christian life is not merely about dying to sin—it is about living through the life of Christ. His Spirit now dwells within us, shaping our thoughts, desires, and actions. This truth frees us from the tyranny of self and invites us to live by faith in the Son of God.
Puritan Insight
A Puritan wrote:
“We do not contemplate Him outside ourselves from afar in order that His righteousness may be imputed to us; but because we put on Christ and are engrafted into His body.”²
Prayer
Gracious Savior, help me remember that my life is hidden in You. Let Your life be seen in my words, my thoughts, and my actions today.
