Highway of Holiness Truth 01 Part 2

Such professed Christians are

Oft seen, but seldom heard;

And never shout AMEN!

To Truth preached from God's Word!

Others praise God at Church,

But NEVER AT THE GAME!

They fear offending men

If THERE they praise His Name!

At dances they attend

They'll swing and celebrate,

But when they are at church

THEY NEVER DEMONSTRATE!

It's OK at the ball

To make all sorts of moves,

But they think that at church

Stiff motionless behooves!

Their pastor must "fit in"

And not "step on their toes"

So in form-al-i-ty

They can, with peace repose.

He must not mention dress,

That's im-mod-est and proud;

Their jew-el-ry and paint

By him must be allowed.

This poem I now write

Would be pooh-poohed by most

Now sitting in church pews

Who claim to be God's host!

I warn you now, dear friend,

Such folks will not pass through!

Instead, they'll hear Christ say,

"Depart! -- I DON'T KNOW YOU!

"Not all who say, Lord Lord

Shall into Hea-ven go.

For only My TRUE SAINTS

Shall enter -- THOSE I KNOW!"

TWO MASTERS, none can have!

Christ Jesus, WE MUST CHOOSE!

Him only we may serve,

OR WE OUR SOULS SHALL LOSE!

He told us "STRAIT THE GATE

And NARROW IS THE WAY

That leadeth unto Life,"

And we should choose TODAY!

Tomorrow is not ours!

Salvation's time is NOW!

We dare not to delay:

REPENT, BEFORE HIM BOW!

RIGHT NOW forsake all sin!

RIGHT NOW forsake the world!

Before your guilty soul

INTO HELL FIRE IS HURLED!

Your precious soul God loves;

Christ died, your soul to save.

He'll cleanse you from all sin

Beneath the crimson wave!

Yes, in the Narrow Way

Christ's blood will make you pure;

His Spirit He'll bestow,

And Heaven He'll assure.

In just a few days more,

I shall be seven-eight (78)

But, if I die tonight,

My mercy won't be late!

Praise God! Christ now forgives;

His blood doth make me pure.

And I am Heaven-bound

His Spirit doth assure.

Dear Reader, what's your way?

The Narrow way, or broad?

And to whence are you bound:

To Hell? or HOME WITH GOD?

Make sure your way is right;

And you've not strayed abroad.

Stay on the Narrow road

That leadeth Home to God!
