Devotion – Christ’s Presence in the Storm
Scripture:
“But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” — Matthew 14:27
Personal Reflection:
Storms terrify me. Yet Jesus comes walking on the waves, declaring His presence. Providence may look like chaos, but Christ is Lord over every storm.
Contemplation:
Am I more focused on the storm, or on the One who rules it?
Quote (Murray):
“Christ never leaves His own; even in the storm He comes walking to them.”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, when fear rises, remind me of Your presence. Speak over my heart: “It is I; be not afraid.”
Challenge:
When anxious today, stop and say aloud: “It is I; be not afraid.” Let Christ’s voice still your storm.
