Faith That Endures Trials
Scripture
“The trying of your faith worketh patience.”— James 1:3
Personal Reflection
Trials are not interruptions to faith—they are instruments that refine it. God uses difficulties to produce endurance, shaping believers into mature followers of Christ. Without trials, faith remains shallow. Through trials, it deepens and strengthens. The storm you face today is not without purpose. It is designed by a sovereign God to conform you to the image of Christ.
Contemplation
Thomas Watson wrote, “Affliction is a refining fire.”
Do you resist trials—or receive them as God’s refining work?
Prayer
Lord, help me to trust Your purpose in every trial I face.
Application
Instead of asking “Why?”, ask today: “What is God teaching me?”
