“Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.”— Matthew 6:20

Personal Reflection

The world calls us to invest in what is seen—wealth, reputation, comfort—but Christ calls us to invest in eternity. Earthly treasures fade, but heavenly treasures endure forever. In the storm, we are reminded how fragile this world truly is. What we once relied upon can vanish in a moment. Yet what is stored in heaven cannot be touched by loss, decay, or time. The believer who lives with eternity in view is not shaken by earthly instability. His treasure is secure because it is kept by God Himself.
