Strength in Spiritual Warfare
Scripture
“Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” — Ephesians 6:10
Personal Reflection
The Christian life is not a passive existence but an active battlefield. The believer faces constant opposition from the world, the flesh, and the devil. Yet Scripture does not call us to rely on our own strength, but to be strong in the Lord. This strength is divine, not human; it is supplied by God Himself. Too often, believers attempt to fight spiritual battles with fleshly weapons—reason, emotion, or willpower—only to find themselves defeated. But victory is found in dependence upon God, clothed in His armor, standing upon His Word. The storm is not merely external; it is often a spiritual assault designed to weaken faith and distract the heart from Christ. Yet the believer who stands in God’s strength will not be moved.
Contemplation
Martin Luther wrote, “The devil is a conquered foe.”
Are you fighting in your own strength—or standing in the power of God?
Prayer
Lord, clothe me with Your strength. Help me to stand firm against every spiritual attack.
Application
Begin your day by consciously putting on the armor of God through prayer and Scripture.
