Christ Is Enough
Scripture:
"My grace is sufficient for thee." — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Personal Reflection
One of the greatest lessons living faith learns is that Christ is enough. God often strips away earthly supports so that we might discover the sufficiency of Christ.
We naturally depend on finances, health, relationships, and plans. Yet all these things can be removed. When they are, the believer learns that Christ remains unchanged. His grace is sufficient in every circumstance.
Living faith does not say that trials are easy. It says that Christ is greater than the trial. Faith clings to Him when everything else is shaken.
The saints throughout history discovered this truth. Whether imprisoned, persecuted, impoverished, or afflicted, they testified that Christ was enough.
Contemplation
What am I relying upon besides Christ?
Puritan Quote
"Christ is most sweet when earthly comforts are most bitter." — Samuel Rutherford
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me find my satisfaction in You alone. Teach me that Your grace is sufficient for every need. Amen.
Application
Identify an earthly dependence and consciously entrust it to Christ today.
