Worship Through Confession

Scripture: 1 John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins..."

Personal Reflection

One of the greatest privileges of worship is confession. The believer comes honestly before God, acknowledging sin and receiving mercy.

Abel's sacrifice testified that sin requires atonement. Every true worshipper understands this reality. We never approach God pretending to be righteous. We come confessing our need and trusting Christ's righteousness.

Confession is not an interruption of worship; it is an essential part of worship. It reminds us of God's holiness, our sinfulness, and Christ's sufficiency.

The devil often seeks to keep believers away from God after they sin. Yet Scripture invites us to come boldly because our acceptance rests in Christ, not in our performance.

Every confession magnifies the grace of God.

Am I quick to confess sin, or do I attempt to hide it?
