Trials can reveal what we really love. Apart from God, nothing was dearer to Abraham than his son Isaac. That became the test: to find out whether Abraham loved Isaac more than he loved the LORD. The way you react in your trials tells God how much or how little you love Him. If you love Him supremely, you will thank Him for what He is accomplishing through your challenge or trial. However, if you love something more than God, you will question His wisdom and be worrisome and may develop bitterness. God will be faithful to remove anything you hold more precious than Him. In doing so, He is making a way for you to love Him supremely. So what do your trials reveal about your true love?
