Building the Ark
Scripture: Genesis 6:14 (KJV)
"Make thee an ark of gopher wood…"
Personal Reflection
Building the ark was not glamorous work. It required years of labor, patience, and perseverance.
Much Christian service is like that. Most believers are not called to spectacular ministries. Instead, we are called to daily faithfulness in ordinary tasks.
Noah teaches us that great works are accomplished through consistent obedience. Every board he placed in the ark was an act of faith.
The same is true in prayer, Bible study, parenting, church service, and witnessing. Faithfulness in small things produces great fruit over time.
God measures success differently than the world. He values obedience more than visibility and faithfulness more than fame.
Contemplation
Am I content to serve faithfully in the ordinary tasks God has given me?
Puritan Quote
William Gurnall wrote:
"The Christian's whole life is a continual exercise of grace."
Prayer
Father, make me faithful in the small duties You have given me and teach me to serve without seeking recognition. Amen.
Application
Serve someone quietly today without expecting thanks or acknowledgment.
