Christ’s Compassion for the Brokenhearted

Christ’s Compassion for the Brokenhearted

Scripture:
“A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench.” — Isaiah 42:3

Personal Reflection:
Bridge writes, “The Lord Jesus takes notice of every sigh and groan of a broken heart.” The world despises weakness, but Christ cherishes it. My bruises become the very places where His tenderness is revealed.

Contemplation:
Christ bends low to lift up the crushed. The faintest spark of grace He fans, not extinguishes. Divine gentleness is the balm of the wounded soul.

Prayer:
Tender Savior, thank You for not despising my weakness. Heal me gently and make my wounds witnesses of Your mercy.

Challenge:
Today, show compassion to someone struggling. Reflect Christ’s gentleness in one tangible act of kindness.
