The Glory Yet to Come
Scripture:
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” — 2 Corinthians 4:17
Personal Reflection:
Watson ends with heaven in view: “The worst that God’s children suffer here is but a shadow of sorrow compared to the substance of joy awaiting them.” My trials, when weighed against eternity, are lighter than dust on the scales.
Contemplation:
Heaven will reveal that every pain was a chisel shaping us for glory. The believer’s sufferings are short; the joy to come is endless.
Prayer:
Lord, fix my eyes on eternal joy. Let the hope of glory lighten every burden I carry on earth.
Challenge:
Spend five minutes meditating on heaven today—where every tear will be wiped away—and thank God for the glory that awaits.
