The Covenant of Grace

The Covenant of Grace

Scripture:
“I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” — Jeremiah 31:33

Reflection (John Cotton):
Cotton magnified the Covenant of Grace: God binds Himself to His people through Christ. Our salvation rests not on our promises to God but on His eternal promise to us.

Personal Reflection:
When I fail, I often fear God’s rejection. But God’s covenant is not built on my strength—it is built on His faithfulness. Cotton’s writings remind me that the Covenant of Grace cannot be broken by the weakness of the believer.

Prayer:
Covenant-keeping God, thank You that Your promise is stronger than my weakness.

Challenge:
Whenever you feel discouraged today, whisper: “God’s covenant is sure.”
