Contentment in Humility

Scripture:
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:6

Personal Reflection:
Burroughs said, “The humble man thinks it not strange that he meets with hard things in the world.” Pride says, “I deserve better.” Humility says, “God owes me nothing, yet gives me everything in Christ.” The path to contentment begins with bowing low before God.

Contemplation:
Do I react to hardship with pride or with humble acceptance of God’s wisdom?

Prayer:
Father, humble me under Your mighty hand. Teach me to receive both joy and sorrow as gifts from You.

Challenge:
Today, choose to accept one inconvenience without complaint — and thank God for the lesson in humility.I’m
