God Is Enough

Scripture:
“The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” — Lamentations 3:24

Personal Reflection:
Burroughs wrote, “A soul that knows God as its portion can never be poor.” Discontentment says, “I need more.” Faith says, “I have Him.” My circumstances may change, but my portion in Christ never changes. To lose everything but keep God is to still have all.

Contemplation:
Do I find satisfaction in Christ alone, or am I chasing satisfaction in what I own or achieve?

Prayer:
Lord, be my portion and my prize. Let my joy be rooted not in what You give, but in who You are.

Challenge:
Fast from one earthly comfort today (media, food, or habit) as an act of declaring: “Christ is my portion.”
