The Grace of Submission
Scripture:
“Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10
Personal Reflection:
Burroughs wrote, “A gracious heart submits cheerfully to God’s will because it sees God’s wisdom in all things.” Submission is not resignation — it is worship. To say “Thy will be done” is not to give up, but to give over. True contentment is born when I love God’s will more than my own.
Contemplation:
Do I accept God’s will reluctantly, or rejoice that His plan is better than mine?
Prayer:
Father, teach me to say “Thy will be done” not as a sigh, but as a song.
Challenge:
Pray the Lord’s Prayer slowly today. Emphasize every time you say, “Thy will be done.”
