Today, we conclude our look at the error of the "carnal Christian." By now it should be clear that the doctrine separates classes of Christians and removes the requirement of repentance. The "carnal Christian" doctrine says you can be saved from hell but live like an unsaved person. Think about that for a moment. Nowhere in Scripture is such an experience described or permitted. When one repents and comes in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ, he receives the forgiveness of sins and a new heart. Our Lord said in Matthew 16: 24-26, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and be following Me. For whoever wants to save[ his life will lose it. But whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will a person be profited if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his life? Or what will a person give in-exchange-for his life?'" There is no room in our Lord's words for a half-hearted weak "carnal" gospel. You are either all in or all out. Where do you stand?
