Devotion – The Danger of Delay
Scripture:
“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” — Hebrews 3:15
Personal Reflection:
The most dangerous word in religion is “tomorrow.” Edwards warns that sinners delay repentance, trusting in a future they may never see. Every heartbeat is a mercy call from God; to ignore it is rebellion.
Contemplation:
What obedience have I delayed? What repentance have I postponed?
Edwards Quote:
“There is reason to think that there are many now living who will be the subjects of this very wrath in hell in a very short time.” — Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God
Prayer:
Merciful Father, awaken me from spiritual procrastination. Let me not sleep in sin when eternity stands at the door.
Challenge:
Act immediately on one conviction God has placed in your heart today. Don’t wait another hour.
