 Devotion: The Wonder of Grace

Scripture:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8

Personal Reflection:
John Newton never lost the wonder of God’s grace. Once a blasphemer and slave trader, he could only say, “I am a great sinner, but Christ is a great Savior.” I too must remember that grace is not earned—it is freely given. Salvation is not the reward of the righteous but the rescue of the wretched.

Contemplation:
Do I still marvel at grace, or have I begun to take it for granted?

Prayer:
Lord, restore to me the awe of Your grace. Let me never forget that I stand forgiven because You loved me first.

Challenge:
Share your testimony this week with someone who needs to hear that grace is for sinners, not saints.
