Persevering Grace
Scripture:
“He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6
Personal Reflection:
Bunyan feared he might sin himself out of God’s hand. But he learned that salvation rests not on the strength of man but the faithfulness of God. I too must remember: perseverance is not me clinging desperately to Christ, but Christ holding me securely in His grip.
Contemplation:
Am I trusting in my will to hold on, or in God’s will to keep me?
Quote (Bunyan):
“Grace will not fail because it rests in the God who cannot fail.”
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You will complete the work You began in me. Keep me in Your grace until the day of Christ.
Challenge:
Each morning this week, begin by praying Philippians 1:6 back to God as a declaration of trust.
