Devotion – The Refuge in Christ Alone

Devotion – The Refuge in Christ Alone

Scripture:

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” — Proverbs 18:10

Personal Reflection:
Edwards left his listeners trembling, but not hopeless. God’s wrath is real, but so is His refuge. The same hand that holds the sinner over the pit offers to draw him into everlasting safety in Christ.

Contemplation:
Have I truly fled to Christ as my hiding place—or merely admired Him from afar?

Edwards Quote:

“Now God stands ready to pity you; this is a day of mercy; you have an extraordinary opportunity.” — Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You are my strong tower and eternal refuge. Keep me close to You until faith becomes sight.

Challenge:
End your day by speaking aloud your trust in Christ—declare, “Jesus is my refuge and my righteousness.”
