The Sweetness of Forgiveness
Scripture:
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” — Isaiah 1:18
Personal Reflection:
Newton wrote, “The remembrance of my past life humbles me, but it magnifies the grace of God.” Forgiveness did not make him careless—it made him grateful. I too must see forgiveness not as a license to sin but as liberty to love.
Contemplation:
Do I live as one forgiven, or do I carry guilt Christ has already taken away?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for washing me whiter than snow. Keep me humble and joyful in Your pardon.
Challenge:
Write a thank-you letter to God for His forgiveness. Let gratitude replace guilt.
