Joy in Forgiveness
Scripture:
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” — Psalm 32:1
Personal Reflection:
Bunyan described the moment of realizing his sins were forgiven as chains breaking off his soul. True forgiveness is not a cold doctrine but a living joy. To be forgiven is to be free, to live unshackled. I too must live not as one condemned, but as one set free by Christ’s blood.
Contemplation:
Do I live as one forgiven, or do I still carry chains Christ has already broken?
Quote (Bunyan):
“When I saw that my sin was forgiven, my chains fell off, and my soul leaped for joy.”
Prayer:
Lord, restore to me the joy of forgiveness. Let the wonder of pardon fill my heart with worship.
Challenge:
Sing a hymn or song today that rejoices in forgiveness, like Amazing Grace.
