The Comfort of God’s Promises

Scripture:
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen.” — 2 Corinthians 1:20

Personal Reflection:
When Bunyan felt condemned, he clung to God’s promises as though they were chains holding him fast. I too must learn that God’s promises are not wishful thinking but guarantees signed in Christ’s blood. When storms come, I am not holding a thread but a steel chain.

Contemplation:
Do I treat God’s promises as certain, or as mere possibilities?

Quote (Bunyan):
“God’s promises were chains that bound my soul to His mercy.”

Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, that Your promises are yes and amen in Christ. Let me cling to them as my anchor in every storm.

Challenge:
Choose one promise of God (such as Isaiah 41:10). Write it on paper and pray it daily this week.
